One Stop × MINTEDVR
Powered by the MINTDRIVER VR course.
One Stop Driver Training delivers VR driver training as a MINTEDVR partner. MINTEDVR is a New Zealand virtual reality programme that lets learners practise road rules, risk awareness and safe decisions in a realistic traffic environment, before and alongside time in a real car.
- Coached sessions with a trained One Stop instructor
- Twelve languages, including Te Reo Māori, Samoan and Tongan
- Feedback after each task and a progress report
Step into the experience.
A little preparation. A different perspective. Time to reflect.
Explore the steps in a VR driver training session.

Start with a new perspective.
Get comfortable with the headset and handheld controllers, held as though you’re holding an imaginary steering wheel.
Get ready, explore a scenario and talk through what you noticed with your trainer.
A different kind of classroom.
Headsets on. Controllers in hand. A new way to explore driving.

Virtual practice. Real conversations.
More time to think
about the next move.
What did you notice? What could happen next? What would you do differently?
VR gives you another way to explore driving situations and discuss your choices with a trainer. It complements practical learning; it doesn’t replace on-road lessons or a licence test.

A closer look is on its way.
Our course demonstration will show the journey from putting on the headset to exploring a driving scenario. The video isn’t available yet.

What will I work on?
You’ll explore driving scenarios, practise recognising hazards and reflect on your decisions with your trainer. Contact us to discuss what you’d like to work on.
Does this replace driving on the road?
No. VR training is another way to explore awareness and decision-making. You still need appropriate practical driving experience and must meet the usual licensing requirements.
How much is a session, and where does it run?
Sessions are about an hour, and the location is shown with each session date. It’s $25 a session, or $250 for the recommended 10 sessions, including GST. See VR training options or call 021 822 670.
Is the headset shown the one I’ll use?
Sessions use MINTEDVR’s MINTDRIVER course on standalone VR headsets. The Meta Quest 3 product image is an example of VR hardware; the exact headset model for your session is confirmed when you enquire.
Can I see a real session first?
A course demonstration video will be added here when available. The walkthrough above is an illustrated introduction, not footage from the course or a 360° recording.
